What is a Botox Injection or botox shot?

Some of our clients using Botox® are in their 20's. These young folks are just beginning to see facial lines and want to take preventive measures to keep their skin smooth and beautiful. Depending on the pattern of the injections and the amount of solution injected, Botox can result in either lifting or depressing the brows to a limited extent. For full results of Botox® injections, most patients see smoothing of the skin within 2 - 3 days, but 5 - 7 days may be necessary for the full effect to be present. There are a few things your doctor need to know prior to your Botox® injections. People with known hypersensitivity to botulinum toxin or pre-existing neuro-muscular disease are not candidates for Botox injections.
